Under the Italian subsidiaries Japanese trading house Sumitomo Corp (8053.T) will buy 85 percent stake in a German solar power firm’s as per the report Nikkei business daily.

The report further said that, 10 solar power farms will be purchased by Sumitomo under the conditions of acquisition deal. These solar farms will produce total electricity of 9.700 Kilowatt.

According to the Nikkei business daily, an Italian government institution will purchase electricity from Sumitomo’s power plants for the next 20 years. The report stated that, about 30,000 kilowatt the production capacity of Sumitomo will increase by this purchase.

By the end of fiscal year 2013 Sumitomo wants to increase its production capacity to 100,000 kilowatt and double it by making inroads into the Middle East, United States and elsewhere.
